Tall and imposing, Cech starred for the Czech Republic during Euro 2004 as they reached the semi-finals. Set a Premiership record for not conceding a goal for over a thousand minutes as well as winning the prestigious Golden Gloves award for earning 21 clean sheets.Despite suffering a serious injury in late 2006 against Reading he was back on the pitch and in top form by early 2007.
