Hailed as 'the best goalkeeper in Spain' by Rafael Benitez following his arrival at Anfield from Villarreal in July 2005. A former Spain Under-21 international, Reina began his career with Barcelona and made his debut for the Catalan side at the age of 18. After joining Villarreal permanently in 2004 he helped them gain a Champions League place in May 2005 before sealing the move to Liverpool. Reinas success at penalty saving has seen him breaking club records and winning FA Cups as well as propelling Liverpool into Champions League Finals.
