A solid and powerful centre-half, Dunne is a defender who is not afraid to pass the ball out from the back. Replaced Sylvain Distin as City captain in July 2006. His impressive form during the 2001/02 season led to his inclusion in the Republic's World Cup squad and he is now a key player for his country.Joined Villa after Man Citys revolution has become a key player for them under O Neil.
