Tall, aggressive and strong in the air, centre-back Vidic adds steel and composure to United's defence. An integral part of the Serbia & Montenegro defence that conceded just one goal en route to qualifying for the 2006 World Cup, which he was then forced to miss because of injury. Vidic began his career at Red Star Belgrade before making his name at Spartak Moscow.
