Wes Brown

Profile
A richly talented defender, Brown has appeared for England at Under-18, Under-21 and full international level. Capable, composed and equally at home in the centre of defence or at right-back, he travelled to the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. He has struggled with a succession of injuries, which ended any chance of him appearing at the 2006 World Cup, but his form at the start of the 2006/07 season showed his undoubted quality.
