One of the most impressive left sided players in the country. Signed from Brighton, the England international made his debut for Villa back in 1998. Already with a wealth of experience, Barry has added consistency to his undoubted talent. Has comfortably slotted in to a more advanced position on the left of Villa's midfield and was handed the captaincy by Martin O'Neill at the start of the 2006/07 season. With 25 caps at senior international level Barry has been chosen to represent his country by no less then 5 different managers. He earned ?Man of the Match? in Capello?s first game in charge of the England squad.
