Playing his first match for Shrewsbury a day after his seventeenth birthday, Hart spent 2 years playing for the club despite increasing attention from Premiership clubs such as Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea. Transferring to Manchester City in May 2006 he was briefly loaned out to Tranmere Rovers and Blackpool before returning to be named City?s number 1 keeper. Having been a regular in the England Under-21 squad Hart made his debut for the England senior team in June 2008.
